ABOUT
Bigfoot is a census-designated place (CDP) in Frio County, Texas, United States. The population was 304 at the 2000 census. According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 23.9 square miles (62 km2), of which, 23.9 square miles (62 km2) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km2) of it (0.13%) is water. The first settlement at Bigfoot was made in the 1860s, but the community was called Connally's Store until the post office was established in 1883. The present name is in honor of Texas Ranger William A. A. "Bigfoot" Wallace, a former resident of the town.
