This policy explains what data ABC Movers ("we," "us") collects when you use abcmovers.com or get a quote, how we use it, and your choices. We try to write this like a human, not a lawyer.
What we collect
- Quote form data: name, phone, email, origin / destination / move size / target date — whatever you type into the quote form.
- Page analytics: page URL, referrer, browser, and approximate location (city-level) when you visit. We use this to know which pages need to be improved.
- Communications: if you text, call, or email us, we keep the message thread for as long as we're working together.
How we use it
- To quote and complete your move. Your name and contact details so a dispatcher can text you back.
- To improve the site. Aggregate page data — never tied to your identity — helps us decide what to fix.
- To follow up. If we don't hear back after a quote, we may text or email once. Reply "STOP" to opt out of any future contact.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your data to lead aggregators, marketing companies, or anyone else.
- We do not run third-party advertising trackers (no Facebook pixel, no Google ads tracking).
- We do not contact you about anything other than your move and follow-up service.
Who sees your data
The dispatcher assigned to your move. The crew leader running the actual move. Our accounting team for billing. That's it — no external parties unless you tell us to (e.g., we share with your insurance company if you file a claim through us).
How long we keep it
Quote requests that don't result in a booking: 90 days, then deleted. Completed move records: 7 years (California legal requirement for moving carriers). You can request earlier deletion of anything but the legally required records.
Your choices
- See what we have: email info@abcmovers.com and we'll send you everything we have on file within 30 days.
- Delete what we have: same email, subject "DELETE". We confirm within 30 days.
- Opt out of follow-up: reply STOP to any text, or email us.
Cookies
We use a single first-party cookie to remember your quote form progress between sessions (so you don't have to retype if you bail and come back). No tracking cookies. No third-party cookies.
Children's privacy
Our services are intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
You have the right to know what we have, delete it, opt out of "sale" (we don't sell), and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Email info@abcmovers.com with your request.
Changes to this policy
We'll update the date at the top when we change anything. Material changes get an email if we have one for you.
