By using abcmovers.com or booking a move with ABC Movers ("we", "us"), you agree to these terms.
1. Service description
We provide residential and commercial moving services and self-storage rental. Bookings are governed by the separate moving services agreement you sign before move day, which controls if there's any conflict with these site terms.
2. Quotes and pricing
Quotes provided through the website are binding once you accept them and we confirm in writing. Pricing assumes accurate information about your move (size, access, distance). If actual conditions differ materially, we'll re-quote before starting work — you can decline at no charge.
3. Hourly rate, minimums, and additional charges
Local moves are quoted hourly with a 2-hour minimum. Travel time between origin and destination is included; idle time waiting for elevators, parking, or building access is billed at the same hourly rate. Long-distance moves are quoted as a binding flat rate covering all included services.
4. Cancellation
Cancel free up to 72 hours before your scheduled start time. Cancellations within 72 hours forfeit a $150 reservation deposit. Same-day cancellations may be billed up to one hour at the quoted hourly rate to cover crew dispatch.
5. Liability and insurance
We carry $1,000,000 general liability and $500,000 cargo coverage. Released-value protection ($0.60 per pound per item) is included free; you may purchase full-value protection (repair or replacement up to declared value) at the rates shown on your quote.
6. Items we don't move
Hazardous materials, perishables, live plants or animals, firearms (without prior written approval), illegal items. Cash, jewelry, important documents, and irreplaceable items should travel with you, not on the truck.
7. Damage claims
Report any damage at handoff if visible, or within 9 months of delivery (California regulatory limit). We recommend filing within 30 days while details are fresh. Email info@abcmovers.com with your reference number and photos.
8. Storage
Storage rentals are month-to-month with a one-month minimum. 14 days notice required to vacate. We are not liable for items damaged due to causes beyond our control (acts of God, infestation, natural disasters) unless you've purchased and maintained valuation coverage.
9. Website usage
This site is provided as-is. Don't try to break it, scrape it at scale, or use it for anything other than learning about our services and getting a quote. We may suspend access for abuse.
10. Intellectual property
The content, design, and code of this site are ours. You're welcome to link to any page or share a screenshot. Don't republish substantial content without permission.
11. Disputes
Service disputes are governed by California law and resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County. Before going to court, please give us a fair chance to fix the issue — email info@abcmovers.com with your reference number and we'll respond within 5 business days.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be noted at the top with a new date.
